DNA Creative Communications is passionate about their connection to the community of Greenville, SC. Giving back is second nature for these PR gurus, and CreateAthon isn’t their first pro bono rodeo. DNA’s Katie Ward tells us a little bit about the firm’s history of service to local nonprofits, and shares their excitement about hosting the team’s first CreateAthon.

DNA Creative Communications

We’re thrilled to participate in CreateAthon 2013. As first timers, we look forward to staying up all night to provide a nonprofit with the marketing and public relations materials they’ve always needed but could never afford.

Since our creation in 1997, DNA has dedicated many hours of pro bono work to nonprofits. Our Live Here Give Here (LHGH) partnership donates a full year of time and services to a nonprofit. Whether it’s honing a PR strategy, launching a new event brand, or finding the big picture with an annual communications plan, we provide sustainable tools for the organization’s future success. Past LHGH recipients include the South Carolina Children’s Theatre, Mobile Meals in Spartanburg, the Cancer Society of Greenville County, Public Education Partners of Greenville County, and the American Heart Association.

We also host the Shine the Light on Your Nonprofit educational workshop series.

DNA is inspired by CreateAthon’s past work, and we’re honored to join in and give back to our community. Our participation will be the perfect continuation of our show of support and appreciation for local nonprofits.
