In 2012, social media is going to become a priority for many nonprofits. According to the latest Charity Dynamics’ Digital Marketing Survey, 73% of nonprofits will address a social media strategy this year. They hope this will be a way to turn one-time donors into repeat donors.
Nobody knows what the future has in store for social media, but we can be certain it will continue to be an idea way for nonprofits to reach out to donors. Used correctly, it will be a platform for nonprofits to interact with supporters and create a larger fan base.
Find out if you are treating your donors right. At the minimum, make sure you are always thanking them. Thank them early, often and accurately.
