In these trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic, longtime CreateAthon partner EGC Group kicked it into pro bono high gear – remotely – for the United Way of Long Island.
Stop and think for a moment: The birth of a baby is joyous occasion, but also challenging. And COVID-19 makes the moment even more difficult. That’s why the United Way of Long Island launched the “Community Baby Shower” initiative – to help those families with newborns who also are facing financial hardships that may include poverty or unemployment.
The #BornUnited campaign addresses the unique needs of newborns and their parents in the COVID-19 environment through integrated tactics including video, social media, print and radio messages. EGC used its newly launched Virtual Content Studio to remotely build the creative, and The EGC Media Team negotiated PSAs and donated media to run the campaign. This campaign exemplifies how CreateAthon, and the creative process, can make magic happen from anywhere.
