A look at AIGA DC’s Virtual CreateAthon

No venue, no food sponsors, no close human contact – no problem. Even overnight shelter-in-place orders in the District of Columbia couldn’t stop AIGA DC volunteers from staying up all night for a great cause. The five teams of marketing, communications and design professionals flipped the switch from an in-person CreateAthon event to a solely virtual one and found that nonprofits and volunteers alike loved the experience. The teams collaborated online for 24 hours to brainstorm, create and present meaningful work to five worthy nonprofits. From logos and style guidelines to updated websites, brochures and social media posts, here’s a peek at the great work AIGA DC delivered on April 25 in the midst of a global pandemic.
