The briefs are approved, the teams are set, the refrigerator’s been cleaned out. Now all that’s left is the night before, when you know you should go to bed early but your mind is racing with questions that threaten to keep you up this night, of all nights. Can we really serve 10 nonprofits? Do we know enough to develop work that will be on target? How on earth can it possibly get done, and get done well?

My apologies to Oprah, but here’s the one thing I know for sure. When a room full of creative people come together with their hearts and minds on one thing—to give all they have within themselves for the good of someone else—the clock can be conquered.
