CreateAthon Brand Makeover Contest Announces the Top 10!

  • Written by Teresa Coles

After much deliberation, we are pleased to announce the 10 finalists for the CreateAthon Brand Makeover contest.  The 10 nonprofit organizations are:

Boots in Business (Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce)
Carlsbad, California

Canines for Disabled Kids
Princeton, Massachusetts

Care of Southeastern Michigan
Fraser, Michigan

The Children’s Museum in Easton
North Easton, Massachusetts

One Less Meal
Marion, Connecticut

PADS Lake County
North Chicago, Illinois

volunTEENnation.org
St. Louis, Missouri

Reinvent Me Foundation
Richmond, Virginia

Wisconsin Wetlands Association
Madison, Wisconsin

Women’s Business Center
Mobile, Alabama

Now it’s on to the Facebook voting phase of the contest! Here’s how it works:

CreateAthon Facebook fans may cast a vote for the nonprofit of their choice beginning Wednesday, August 1. Each fan is allowed one vote per 24-hour period during the voting period, which ends midnight ET on Wednesday, August 15.

We encourage all nonprofit finalists to promote the contest through their own social media channels, encouraging their constituents and supporters to visit the CreateAthon page as a means to attract more votes. The six nonprofits with the most votes on the CreateAthon Facebook page will be awarded pro bono marketing services in the form of a CreateAthon Brand Makeover, which includes a specific set of marketing services and deliverables.

Marketing services for each winner will be performed by an assigned CreateAthon agency during that agency’s regularly scheduled CreateAthon event (whenever that may be from the period September 1, 2012 until September 1, 2013.) The winning nonprofits will be introduced to their assigned CreateAthon partners after the contest ends, and the CreateAthon partner agency will then be responsible for coordinating the deliverables.

Congratulations to our 10 finalists and best of luck! Let the voting begin!
